This bedtime story is inspired by a 1959 picture book called "Winter and the Children."  Rewritten and rearranged for contemporary listeners at the Lilypad, the story "The Winter City" is set in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and is about snow, children, magpies, snow removal, snowflake fairies, and a husky puppy named Luna.

Joy the Mouse a Christmas Story

A Christmas story about Joy, the mouse, who lives in a candy cane factory.  Caution:  sweeter than gingerbread.  Also, contains mice wearing toques.  Merry Christmas from Lily in a frozen pond.

Snow White and Rose Red - Episode 10

An obscure Brother's Grimm fairy tale re-arranged for modern audiences.  Two sisters, Snow White and Rose Red, grow up side by side in an enchanted forest.

Sabotage Featuring Rascal and The White Mouse - Episode 9

In Episode 8 Rascal the Raccoon and Lily recount a true story about The White Mouse, or Nancy Wake, a WWII heroine who fought Nazis using sabotage, espionage, and intelligence. Caution -- gun fights and explosions.  Also, nuts falling on frogs.

Episode 8: Peter Rabbit

Beatrix Potter's classic tale Peter Rabbit is re-arranged and re-told by Marlene Wurfel.  Set in a community garden in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Peter is a jackrabbit who must escape humane relocation after being tempted by the cabbage patch.

Episode 7: Rocky's Story

This original Tales From the Lilypad Story is about a race... in geological time.  Featuring Rocky the Rock and his friends Balthazar, Chocolate and Feldspar.

Episode 6: Goldilocks and the Three Bears

This classic nursery tale is retold by Lily, a frog, and special guest, Blueberry the Bluebird.  Story arranged by Marlene Wurfel.
